Is it ok to apply antiaging/antiwrinkle creams even before they appear on your face?

Wrinkle Cream Question :

My cousin sister is 31 yrs old, married,no kids.Someone told her not to apply anti aging n anti wrinkle cream as she doesnt look her age, she looks younger. But she applies Lóreal since 2 months…both antiwrinkle + eye revitalift gel.
At present she doesnt have wrinkles but if she applies this ,will the wrinkles appear OR will they get DELAYED to appear as she will be applying antiwrikles??? What is the best brand, if not Lóreal ??
Pls suggest for both the questions..thanks.

They’ll get delayed…. so really, there’s no point in applying them

Anti-wrinkle creams work by plumping up the area around the wrinkles. Using them without wrinkles is just going to make a plumpy face.

Best to just use a good moisturizer, with the key ingredient being a sunscreen, your best defense against early aging/wrinkling.

The early 30s is the best time to begin using anti-aging treatment creams. I assume your cousin’s sister has such good skin because of genetics AND because she has taken good care of her skin.

She has probably been careful about sun exposure and doesn’t smoke. These are the two biggest contributors to the visible signs of skin aging. In fact what we refer to as “skin aging” is not due to the passage of time but to UV and free radical damage.

However it is also true that, around age 30, several body processes begin to slow. Tthe skin begins producing less moisture and less collagen. It becomes drier and less elastic.

The glycan network, which is a net of collagen fibers surrounded by natural moisturizers, begins to deteriorate resulting in lines and wrinkles that become deeper and deeper.

Glycation (or sugar damage) attacks the collagen fibers in the glycan network making them thinner and rigid. As the glycan network collapses in on itself, the face begins to sag.

What to do? In addition to conscientious application of sun protection, around age 30, make sure you are using the best moisturizers available. Currently that would be hyaluronic acid or urea.

To delay formation of wrinkles and ****** sag, there are three peptides you should know about.

    1. Acetyl hexapeptide-3 relaxes the muscles that form deep lines of expression – similar to Botox but the effect is subtler and no toxins are involved.

    2. Palmitoyl pentapeptide-3 stimulates the body to produce new collagen.

    3. Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3 stops and even reverses glycation damage, keeping the collagen fibers thick and elastic.

It’s always a good idea to start a good skin care routine BEFORE the lines come on. But no one stays looking 20 or 30 forever. But you CAN put it off a while longer.

Yes, prevention is always better than cure. I’d recommend she use a pure vitmain c serum (l-ascorbic acid). I have posted a link below. And she needs to use sunblock everyday too, even during the winter as damaging UVA rays are prevalent all year round! HTH : )
